Body contouring

Body surgery addresses three things diet and training cannot: excess skin, separated abdominal muscles, and fat deposits that ignore your habits. It is not weight loss, and Dr. Vale will say so plainly if weight is the real variable. The best candidates arrive at a stable weight and leave with a plan measured in months, not promises.

Is body surgery right for you?

The honest gates: weight stable for six months, BMI in a range where surgery is safe and the result will show, no nicotine for six weeks on either side of surgery, and — for abdominal work — no pregnancy planned afterward. Recovery is the most demanding of any category here; a tummy tuck asks for two weeks of real convalescence and help at home for the first several days. If those trade-offs read as acceptable rather than alarming, you are likely thinking about this correctly. Start with Am I ready for surgery?

Common questions

Lipo or tummy tuck — which do I need?

Pinch test, roughly: if the issue is fat you can pinch with tight skin behind it, liposuction. If skin folds over or muscles have separated after pregnancy, a tuck. Many patients need less than they expect; some need the combination.

Do you perform BBL?

No. Dr. Vale limits body work to procedures with safety profiles he is fully comfortable with in an outpatient setting. This practice does not offer gluteal fat grafting.

Will the fat come back?

Removed fat cells do not regenerate, but remaining ones can still grow. A stable weight keeps the result; a significant gain redistributes it. Surgery changes your shape, not your metabolism.

What does the fee include?

Surgeon, accredited facility, anesthesia, garments, and routine follow-up for a year. Confirmed in writing at consultation. No day-of additions.

Not sure you're a candidate yet? Health, weight, smoking, timing, expectations — the honest checklist, before you spend $150 finding out.
